Artistic Discoveries in European Schoolyards

From March 2nd till 4th teachers, group leaders and artists from UK meet in York to prepare a big European Youth encounter this April.

The PENt Up project has kicked off and will run throughout February and March. The project aims to bring together professional, aspiring and young writers in a supportive and challenging environment to create new poetry, prose, lyrics and script.

From February 6th the leaders and selected directors meet in the capital of Slovakia to take the next steps in preparing the Final Production being staged this summer.

In summer and autumn 2011 all partner theatres announced a contest for new professional plays for the target group in their countries with deadlines at the end of last year. Most of the theatres received noumerous plays, which now will be selected by a special jury. The winner-plays will be translated to English and become part of the PLATFORM 11+ – database. Most of them will be produced by the partner-theatres.

20 year Kolibri Theatre! And Platform11plus was invited. Several national and international co-productions were shown during the one week lasting ceremony.
Despite dark clouds over Europe’s creative economies we’re sure come back back for the 30ths anniversary in 2022.
