Midsummer theatre´s night
26. June 2010 | SvenOn 26th June 2010 we had our Midsummer theatre´s night under the olive trees of Teatro O Bando.
On 13 field stages approximately 500 guests, among them Aikaterini Xethali, Program Manager of the EACEA-culture unit, could see the national plays that have been produced for Platform11+ in the last 9 months. In the finale all the actors from our partner theatres from all over Europe sang songs to and about the moon. A kid´s choir interacted with the actors – an orchestra played. It was a magical night lighted by the full moon.
But that was not the end of the midsummer celebration! All the platformers spent the whole night on the hill – singing songs, playing guitar or trying out national delicacies. At 06:14 in the morning we were all standing on the top of the hill. The sun set. We welcomed the new day with a big breakfast and enjoyed the marvelous view on the beautiful landscape underneath our feet.
